Your journey, expertly guided and carefully arranged.
For more than 20 years, Human First has guided couples from Europe and beyond through fertility treatment at Acıbadem Hospital in Istanbul. We help you prepare, coordinate your treatment and support you during your stay in Turkey. That way everything is carefully arranged, and you know where you stand throughout the journey.

Fertility treatment abroad feels like a big step. We make that step smaller — and it often turns out to be the best decision you'll make.
There is no waiting list. You start almost immediately, exactly when it suits you.
From Sperm Chip and EmbryoScope to Micro-TESE and AOA: advanced techniques, all in one laboratory.
You are not a number. One fixed medical team, an interpreter at your appointments, and a direct WhatsApp line — before, during and after your treatment.
The egg retrieval takes place under light sedation in the hospital. No unnecessary stress or pain at one of the most nerve-wracking moments.
In consultation with the doctor and wherever medically justified, two embryos can be transferred, which can increase the chance of pregnancy.
You go through treatment in complete calm in Istanbul, away from work pressure and obligations, in a lovely hotel where you stay in a spacious suite, with a separate bedroom and a living room with seating area, dining area and kitchenette. Relaxation is good for your body.
We guide you step by step through the entire journey. Here's what it looks like in broad strokes.
You register through our website and send us your medical information. The IVF team in Istanbul reviews your file — within 7 working days you'll receive a message from us with a personal treatment plan.
If you wish, you can already start hormone stimulation at home, so your stay in Turkey can be shorter (10 instead of 18 days). We arrange the prescription, and on request a hotel close to the hospital with all transfers.
At Acibadem Hospital you are treated by prof. dr. Cem Demirel and his team. Between check-ups you enjoy Istanbul, with us always within reach on WhatsApp.
After the embryo transfer you fly home relaxed. We keep supporting you up to week 12 of the pregnancy: we follow how things develop, renew your prescriptions for as long as you are on medication, and remain available for your questions.
IVF and ICSI, genetic testing of embryos, surgical sperm retrieval including Micro-TESE, assisted hatching, the Sperm Chip and SpermSlow — carried out in one laboratory, at one published price, with no waiting list.
The core treatments: fertilisation in the lab, where with ICSI one carefully selected sperm cell is injected directly into the egg.
More about IVF / ICSI →Genetic testing of embryos before transfer: screening for chromosomal abnormalities and serious hereditary conditions. No waiting list.
More about PGT-M & PGT-A →Innovative techniques such as EmbryoScope, Sperm Chip, SpermSlow, AOA and Micro-TESE.
All treatments →Our prices are published and fixed. In the UK and the United States the headline figure is usually a base cycle, with ICSI, genetic testing and surgical sperm retrieval billed on top. Here they are side by side.
| Human First | UK (indicative) | USA (indicative) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| IVF — one cycle | € 2,800 | around £5,000 | $12,000 – $17,000 |
| ICSI | € 2,800 — same price | + £1,000 – £1,500 on top of IVF | + $1,500 – $2,500 on top of IVF |
| PGT-A — genetic screening | € 350 per embryo | £2,000 and up | $3,000 – $6,000 |
| Surgical sperm retrieval | € 2,000 — Micro-TESE included | £1,400 – £2,600 for TESE; Micro-TESE on request* | $8,000 – $15,000 |
| Assisted hatching | included | charged separately | charged separately |
Two differences are worth spelling out. ICSI costs the same as IVF with us — it is not an add-on, so the choice is made on medical grounds rather than on price. And assisted hatching is included in the treatment price rather than billed per cycle.
Our own figures are the full price of each treatment and are published on the pricing page. Medication (€ 900 – € 1,500) and journey coordination (€ 430) are listed separately there, as they are everywhere.
UK and US figures are indicative ranges drawn from published clinic prices, the HFEA's stated average and patient-cost surveys; they vary widely by clinic, by state and by what each quote includes, and your own quote may differ. Always ask for an itemised quote covering surgeon, laboratory, anaesthesia and freezing.
* UK clinics publish prices for TESE but almost never for Micro-TESE, which is microsurgery and takes a specialist urologist and longer in theatre. A UK quote for it is therefore given on request and may be built up from the urologist's fee, hospital and theatre costs, general anaesthesia, embryology, freezing and storage. With us it is one published price of € 2,000.
Nothing speaks to our work better than the stories of the couples we've had the privilege of guiding.
"In the Netherlands we were sent from hospital to hospital and told nothing more could be done for us. I couldn't let it go — and through Human First we got our chance in Turkey after all."
"After eight years of trying and three failed treatments in the Netherlands, we went to Istanbul. From day one it felt personal and professional. Our wish finally came true."
"At the hospital we felt like a number: unclear answers and long waits between appointments. With Human First the plan was clear and we were truly listened to."
A full journey in Istanbul takes around 18 days. If you start hormone stimulation at home, you only travel on day 9 and your stay is limited to about 10 days. For a PGT-M journey, plan for around 20 days.
The medical treatment costs €2,800, including doctor's fees, ultrasounds, egg retrieval under light sedation, laboratory work, assisted hatching and embryo transfer. On top of that you pay for journey coordination (€430), medication (roughly €900–€1,500). Travel and accommodation you arrange yourself, or we send you a quote on request for our extra care package: hotel, airport transfers and a ride to every appointment. See our pricing page for the full overview.
Yes. Turkish law only permits fertility treatment for legally married couples. You must be able to prove this on arrival.
Prof. Dr. Cem Demirel speaks good English, so your consultations with the doctor are in English. The nurses and the reception staff speak Turkish, not English. That is why we arrange an interpreter for you on site, free of charge — in English, or in another language if you prefer. They go with you to your appointments so nothing is lost in translation.
Register for free, without obligation. Your medical information will be reviewed by the IVF team in Istanbul, and you'll receive a personal reply within 7 working days.
